Q. Please can you tell us a little about your business and your role in the company?
A. Civils Contracting Ltd is a UK-based construction company employing approximately 35 people. We specialise in the ‘design and build’ form of contract, where we interpret the client’s brief, supervise the design process and manage the construction of the project through to completion. I am a Project Director, with primary responsibility for the technical requirements and key milestones of the programme.
Q. When did you first contact AMR and why?
A. We got in touch with AMR in December 2016 because we needed a new bookkeeper and payroll manager. As a business, we find it works best for us to contract out these duties to dedicated experts, rather than manage them in-house. Q. What has been your experience of working with AMR? A. The staff are friendly and efficient, and have managed to understand our fairly complex business quickly. Q. What do you consider to be the challenges facing businesses in the areas of bookkeeping and payroll? A. Keeping up to date with Government requirements can be time consuming. Rules and regulations can change quite frequently, but we know that AMR will always be working to the current legislation and standards, which gives us peace of mind. Q. What would you say is the number one benefit of outsourcing bookkeeping/payroll administration? A. Again, it’s the peace of mind that comes with having a specialist who is aware of the various rules governing business finance. Thank you, Nick, for taking the time to chat to us.
