As we approach the end of 2021, the team at AMR Bookkeeping would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas and new year.
While the past year has had its ups and downs for businesses across the UK, we have continued to be inspired by the resilience and dedication shown by our clients through these turbulent times.
When the third national lockdown was announced at the beginning of the year there was little cause for celebration. However, thanks to many talented researchers, and the hard work of the NHS, the vaccination programme has provided a constant source of optimism and hope, undoubtedly saving thousands of lives, and allowing businesses around the country to safely re-open.
In the spring, when restrictions began to ease, the team at AMR were busy supporting our clients and their employees as they yet again adapted their businesses to constantly changing circumstances.
Our staff have been diligent in keeping up to date with developments such as VAT reductions and deferrals, the government-funded Kickstart scheme, and the end of the furlough scheme. As in 2020, we published many blogs and newsletters providing the latest Covid-19 information and guidance for business owners, including advice on starting an online company during the pandemic, Covid-related VAT changes and business advice for life after lockdown.
While some restrictions in the UK have been reintroduced with masks once again being mandatory in shops and on public transport, we are happy to say that, despite this, we are settling into a ‘new normal’ here at AMR. The entire team would like to say a warm thank you to all our clients for their continued business during 2021, and we look forward to continuing our relationship in what will hopefully be a more settled year ahead.
Our office will be closed over the Christmas period from Friday 24th December 2021 and will reopen on Tuesday 4th January 2022, so don’t forget to send us your payroll and any other bookkeeping needs as soon as possible in December, especially if your business has an early pay-day this month.
