Over the course of the coming two months HMRC will be making some important changes to the way in which payments to them can be made.
From 15 December 2017 the pay at Post Office service will be withdrawn and then from 13 January 2018 HMRC will no longer accept payment by personal credit card. However, debit cards and corporate credit cards will continue to be accepted.
Hopefully these changes will not cause too much inconvenience for you and there are still many ways to pay including:
- Direct debit;
- Online or telephone banking (including faster payments, BACS and CHAPS); and
- Debit/corporate credit cards online or by telephone.
These methods are more secure and will save you time and expense of popping to the Post Office or bank.
How can I find out more? HMRC have more information on how to pay them on the GOV.UK website here.
